Hartenstein pin

Taxi Charity for Military Veterans zou niet kunnen bestaan zonder de Londense taxichauffeurs, bekend van de zwarte taxi’s.
Ze geven hun vrije tijd en gebruiken hun eigen taxi’s om de veteranen (veteranen uit alle conflictgebieden) mee te nemen naar herdenkingen in Nederland en Frankrijk, maar ook naar musea, concerten of sociale evenementen door geheel het Verenigd Koninkrijk.

Om  deze geweldige liefdadigheidsinstelling te ondersteunen is deze Hartenstein pin gemaakt met de beeltenis erop van het Airborne Museum at Hartenstein uit de tijd dat  het nog een hotel-restaurant was.

Deze pin is de eerste pin uit een serie van drie unieke pins. Welke zijn ontworpen door striptekenaar Hennie Vaessen in samenwerking met Jacoline Rutgers van BeetjeBinnenBuiten. De eerste is in 2023 (Hartenstein) de tweede  in 2024 (80 jaar Market Garden) en de derde en laatste in 2025 (80 jaar bevrijding).

Taxi Charity for Military Veterans would not be able to function without the involvement of the licensed London taxi drivers, famous for it’s black taxis, who give their time and cabs to take veterans (veterans from all conflicts) for free trips to the Netherlands and France for acts of commemorations and days out to museums, concerts or social events across the UK.
To support the amazing Taxi Charity for Military Veterans this pin is created with the image of Airborne Museum at Hartenstein when it was still a hotel-restaurant.
This Hartenstein pin is the first designed pin by cartoonist Hennie Vaessen in cooperation with Jacoline Rutgers from Beetje Binnen Buiten.
There are in total 3 designed pins. The first in 2023 (Hartenstein), the second in 2024 (Market Garden 80th) and the last one in 2025 (80 years liberation).
